Testimonials

    Argentina

“We felt like royalty with 10 staff looking after our every need at Los Laureles. After some fun sport with doves each morning we caught lots of golden dorado and piranhas in the afternoons.”

    Tom Verity, Argentina bespoke travel

“We had a great time and everything was spot on – the shooting was truly fanastic and the lodge we stayed at was fab too – service, staff, food. Ground crew at either end was tip top.”

The Hon Philip Fitzherbert, Dove shooting Argentina, March 2009

“Our guide (Pablo) got us summed up very quickly, realising we were keener on challenging shooting than numbers. He continuously asked us if we were happy, was very engaging, on time, and smart so we all had a great time. Pica Zuro Lodge was perfect – the food excellent, fantastic staff and the rooms very comfortable. The girls loved it.”

The Hon Tom Fitzherbert, Dove shooting Argentina, March 2009

“I can honestly say we had the very best holiday we could have wished for. All the arrangements you put in place were on time, comfortable and Connie our guide could not have been nicer. As for the shooting at Pico Zuro Lodge that was delightful. The staff were excellent, Pablo the head manager had a terrific sense of humour, was charming and extremely professional. If ever you have other clients who wish to do the same as us, then I cannot recommend it more. The lodge we stayed in was authentic, with high ceilings, lovely terracing, a huge pool and a terrific atmosphere. You can take great credit that the holiday we had exceeded all our expectations.”

Lord Stafford, Dove shooting Argentina, March 2009

“…and of course our few days dove shooting, which I think for everyone exceeded expectations…. “

Charles Martyn-Hamphill, Dove shooting Argentina, March 2009

“Pica Zuro is a great lodge, the staff were excellent and we felt right at home. Very good choice, the shooting is out of this world.”

Matt DeSalvo, Dove shooting, Argentina, January 2010

“It was just incredible and can’t wait to return”

Simon Ropner, Dove shooting, Argentina, November 2011

“I cannot fault the organisation, attention to detail, thought and imagination that went into arranging this trip.  As I said to my colleagues, I have had the great good fortune to have been able to go on many holidays.  This was one of my best.  I will recommend Wild and Exotic to any friends of mine contemplating a similar experience: both riding and dove shooting.”

Lord Portsmouth, Dove shooting, Argentina, April 2012

“Shooting was quite amazing, I had set myself a limit of cartridges, and blew the budget on the first session!  The great thing about it is that there are so many birds you can pick your own level of difficulty, some challenging crossers at some great distances. Lunch cooked in the field at Pica Zuro by the bird boys was another special moment”

Sally Evans, Dove shooting, Argentina, April 2012

“La Dormida was an amazing lodge everything was first class from accommodation to food and wine. The staff could not do enough to help you. The shooting was great as much and more than I expected, making the effort to take us to the highest doves they had in 4 different places. Having great bbq lunches in the field and then siesta in the shade in hammocks was also great fun.”

Tom and Helen Bell, Dove shooting, Argentina, December 2012

“We felt like royalty with 10 staff looking after our every need at Los Laureles. After some fun sport with doves each morning we caught lots of golden dorado and piranhas in the afternoons.”

    Tom Verity, Argentina bespoke travel

“Our golden dorado fishing trip with Wild and Exotic was fabulous. We found our guide Nacho to be extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable with very good English. Our photos reflect the excitement of the many dorado which we landed for the day.  The food and beverage was simple but authentic and the asado cooked to perfection. The peaceful surroundings of the river were also a pleasant break from bustle of Buenos Aires and we felt invigorated for the remainder of our trip but left regretting we hadn’t arranged an extra day of fishing. Thank you to all involved for a seamless operation, one which we would highly recommend.”

Dale and Linda Jones, Golden dorado fishing Argentina, December 2010

“We had an outstanding day! Dorado are amazing fish, and really put up a great fight.  Our guides were outstanding and personable and took care of everything for us. Thanks for setting this up for us.”

John Kinney, Golden Dorado fishing Argentina, December 2010

“The fishing day was a very good experience. Both of the guys (guide and boat captain) could not have been better. If they accurately represent your “typical” people, I am sure you hear few, if any, complaints. I will be recommending your organization to any willing to listen.”

Mr Meyers, Golden Dorado fishing, Argentina, November 2012

    “Your organisation was faultless”

John Chester, Sea trout fishing, Argentina, March 2012

“It was brilliant from beginning to end and a personal thank you for your excellent work and help. Adrian’s Wild and Exotic is my kind of Company and will be my first port of call wherever I fish next. Maria, Analia, guides and Villa Maria staff made every effort and succeeded to ensure a great experience.7 rods caught 96 fish (LOST 46) with and average weight of 11.2lbs for all fish weighed over 3lbs. 21 fish were over 15lb and 10 were over 20lbs with a top weight of 27lbs. Only one rod missed the 20lb mark. 2 of the rods had a 20lb+ and 4 rods had double 20lbs including me.The top rod for 23 fish was our American friend, Schuyler, and that included 2 x 20lbs+ Mark from Morecambe had the best 2 fish of 27lbs and 24lbs. I had 12 fish including 2 at 21 and 22lbs and a dozen+ of 2/3lbs as did the other rods. From feed back in Argentina and the intimate smaller group experience the Villa Maria Lodge worked for me. A big, big thank you.”

    Tony Simpson, March 2013

“The trip was glorious and I now understand your great love of the country. Buenos Aires is also  a jewel and, while I’m grateful for the few extra days we spent there, we would have enjoyed even more time to explore all the barrios, museums, cafes and architecture. We loved Peuma Hue and Quillen in particular. From our many trips with W & E I have a stunning observation: in England guides carry a cell phone, in India they carry water bottles, in Africa they carry rifles and bear bangers………and in Patagonia, they carry a chain saw and machete.”

Mr and Mrs Lorig, Trans Andes ride, Argentina

“We had the most marvellous holiday and all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I want to personally thank you for organising everything so efficiently and easily.”

Amanda Bullard, Trans Andes ride, Argentina

“I have been fortunate to have traveled extensively for most of my adult life. The ride across the Andes rates as one of the top two trips that I have ever taken. It was very well planned and the guides were not only very good but also very interesting characters.  We went where very few have gone and around every turn the scenery was even more astounding. Congratulations to Wild and Exotic. We are all now looking forward to booking another exciting trip with your company.”

John Fulton, Trans Andes ride Argentina, 2009

“Again many thanks for such a superb trip.  All the team are still in a state of exaltation!”

Cilla Crossley, Wild brown & rainbow trout fishing, Argentina

“Pablo was an excellent and hard working guide: perhaps 11lbs was a bit of an exaggeration for the trout, but it was still a magnificent fish.”

George Seligman, Wild brown & rainbow trout fishing, Argentina

“Carrileufu Valley Lodge is first rate and Poncho is on top of his game. He really seems interested in developing a place that ranks with the best. They have great guides and the rivers are first class.”

Colomé was out of this world, we loved it, a  great place, so beautiful. They were very helpful in everyway and the food and wine there were excellent too. The hotel at Cachi was also gorgeous, beautiful house, and stunning grounds, one of the loveliest place I have stayed in. Thank you for setting everything up so perfectly.”

Mr & Mrs Murphy, Argentina bespoke travel, February 2008

    David Turcan, Argentina bespoke travel

“Our holiday in Argentina was a huge success and we all thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Our epic trek up to Mt Tronador with Sebastian del la Cruz was a memorable occasion….and then the final few days at Rio Quillen were really special, the highlight being an 11 hour days in the saddle when we reached the snow line of Volcan Lanin, with the most breathtaking views of the Andes.”

    Cilla Crossley, Argentina bespoke travel

“Everything went like a dream. What was most noticeable was that all your ground handlers were both helpful and charming. For me, Estancia Christina was the highlight of a very enjoyable week.”

    Ian McMullen, Argentina bespoke travel

“The Costa Petit Hotel in BA is the most wonderful boutique hotel ever. We loved Argentina and had a wonderful time in Mendoza.  Ch D’Ancon v old fashioned but we were beautifully looked after and had a great ride with the Andes as our back drop. Thanks for everything.”

    Laura Goedhuis, Argentina bespoke travel

The Hon Tom Fitzherbert, Argentina bespoke travel, March 2009

“Our guide in Salta was fantastic.  Raúl was hospitable, welcoming, informative, and generally a very pleasant person to have showing us Salta and driving us such long distances.  Each of the hotels were wonderful with service and accommodation unquestionably at a high level. Colomé was exquisite in an unusual but interesting way. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location extraordinary. All in all, a fantastic trip in Argentina which offered great places to stay and lovely people.”

Max Mortimer, Argentina bespoke travel, April 2009

“We had a wonderful trip, and everything worked perfectly. We enjoyed each place we visited, and each one was a very different experience. The Beales were charming hosts, and Oliver had a wonderful time fishing.  We also loved Peuma Hue, and am sure we will return one day.”

Susan Johns, Argentina bespoke travel, December 2010

“The trip itself was everything one could have hoped for. The horses were superb and there was just the right amount of walking and galloping. The views were spectacular – the snow capped Lanin volcano seemed to follow us everywhere. The campsites were excellent with perfect tents and sleeping bags – warm, dry, comfortable. At the end of the day there was always a cold beer, wine or whatever to greet you when it was hot, and when it was cold, tea.coffee, cakes and always a roaring campfire. The food was excellent, provided by a dedicated team who travelled from campsite to campsite. Lunch on the move was also excellent – proper meals followed by a wonderful siesta for horse and rider! It was perfect. Wonderful, hard and at times fast and furious riding, and then at the end of the day enough comfort and good food to set you up for the next day. And Jane was wonderful. A great character who really cares about her horses and making sure everyone is happy.”

Peter Prendergast, Trans Andes ride Estancia Huechahue, February 2010

“Many thanks for your impeccable organisation of my recent duck shooting trip in Argentina. Everything, including the transport, was completely faultless. The Argentinean duck shooting was a first for me and it will definitely not be the last. The quality of shooting was truly outstanding and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment.”

W&E client, Duck shooting, Argentina, May 2011

Paul Becher, Duck shooting, Argentina, May 2012

     “We had a fantasitc trip.”

Tim Watts, Duck shooting Argentina, May 2012

“The landscape at Huechahue is just majestic and you never tire of the views, or if you are a fisherman, looking at the river!  The float trip at Collon Cura was I think the highlight of the holiday and we all caught fish that day.  The food at the estancia was really very good. A truly amazing holiday and thank you so much for organising it. All your arrangements went extremely smoothly.”

James and Izzy Fife, Estancia Huechahue, February 2016

“We had the most fantastic family holiday in Argentina.  Everything runs extremely smoothly at Huechahue and Jane has some really friendly and excellent staff.  In particular, we enjoyed moving the Herefords from one pasture to another. Great fun, followed by a delicious picnic lunch and siesta after.”

James and Izzy Fife, Estancia Huechahue, February 2016

“The holiday was wonderful, thanks,  and cannot commend the guys at Huechahue and all Jane’s team highly enough. They were really hard-working and the horse riding – especially given I was a novice – was managed really supportively and with great care and attention. Lovely team, truly cracking food and they were really accommodating on the odd day that we wanted a break from the horse riding. It was the trip of a lifetime so thanks a lot to all at Wild and Exotic for a cracking adventure.”

    Dan Machen, Estancia Huechahue, Argentina

“The estancia was spectacular. Wonderful big, light rooms in substantial brick bungalows,a very high standard of decoration and comfort. In fact attention to detail was the keynote of everything. Jane wouldn’t set out in the morning until everyone and everything was just so, and the horses were superb.”

Peter Prendergast, Estancia Huechahue Argentina, February 2010

“Huechahue was wonderful and Jane was so nice.  Horses were lovely and Diego and Gunther, who run the riding side of it, were excellent and good fun. Amazing horses, so sure footed. Did a bit of a cattle round-up so my husband’s “inner cowboy” has been released and he now regards himself as a gaucho!”

Mark and Caroline Hunter, Estancia Huechahue, February 2012

“Jane williams and her estancia a revelation – what a lady. We were made very welcome by her and all of her staff. Fantastic riding in the foothills of the Andes showing us many special places. We also spent a full day working with cattle moving a herd of cows and calves that we sorted 5-6 miles up and down the mountains. Seeing the gauchoes at work was an experience. The fishing guide you booked was great, Toby and I spent a full day floating down the river we caught about 20 trout up to 2lbs. The final afternoon we white water rafted which Jane organised at no extra charge great fun transfer back to BA no problem. A wonderful trip which gave us everything we wanted and more.”

Tom and Helen Bell, Estancia Huechahue, Argentina, January 2013

The service and accommodations at Macatoo were excellent, and the guides went out of their way to make your stay great.

Maria Aguila, African Horseback safaris, July 2017

“I had the holiday of a lifetime with African Horseback Safaris. The, setting, the people, the animals and the landscape were superb – exactly what I wanted. I enjoyed every minute of it…..We saw elephant every day, zebra (we galloped side by side with them on one occasion), wildebeest, buffalo, giraffe, red letchwe, bushbuck and a just a glimpse of a cheetah, plus birds of every kind…..All your arrangements worked liked clockwork. Everyone was helpful and accommodating and I couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks again.”

Mrs Albion, African Horseback Safaris Botswana, May 2007

“Well what a holiday! Absolutely fantastic in every imaginable way. The riding was superb, the staff were all fantastic but Neil and I both thought the two main guides Secongo and Bongwei were the making of the place – fantastic bushmen, absolutely fascinating to listen to, amazing knack of instilling confidence in ‘big game’ situations and brilliant hosts too in the evenings. We will certainly be recommending you and AHS to lots of friends. We would love to go back again some day.”

Mossy Kennedy, African Horseback Safaris, Botswana

“I did indeed have a wonderful time in Botswana. Although its a huge cliche, the only way I can describe it was ‘life-changing’. The facilities at the camp were faultless, the food was great and drinks were on hand at all times. The riding was sublime, even without the wildlife, it would have been fantastic.”

Karen Thorpe, African Horseback safaris, Botswana

“Our holiday exceeded all our expectations and was really fantastic.  Many thanks for organising it all, everything worked like clockwork.”

Mark Westwood, African Horseback safaris, Botswana

“The animals speak for themselves (seeing an elephant at 20 metres, and one outside my tent on the first morning inspecting my pjamas, lions etc…..going to sleep is a bit like being on LSD, there are so many noises it was crazy! The tents were perfect – everything you need and a lovely lady who delivered coffee every morning. The horses were gorgeous – so fit, responsive and well looked after.  The small groups were great  and once you enter the delta, there is really no other vehicle/anybody there. But one thing I would like to stress  –  everybody noticed  the staff and guides were so kind.  Everything seemed effortless, but clearly a lot of thought had gone into it. Drinks and smiles all the time…..  I really can’t recommend them enough and the atmosphere was just as important as the riding/game.The food was delic and lots of it…I had a couple of afternoons off, and it was nice that you could do something else because there was so much to take in. Thank you so much for all your help – I really did not have to lift a finger”

Olivia Bennett, African Horseback Safaris, September 2009

“Everything was just perfect and we had the most amazing time.  We were looked after exceptionally well by everyone at Macatoo and had great fun with our fellow travellers. Many, many thanks for your and Adrian’s help in organising this super trip.”

“Had a simply fab time! Wonderful riding and lots of laughs!”

Mrs Finer, African Horseback Safaris, May 2012

“The trip was fantastic. Accommodations were great. The tents are very comfy. Nightly visits by elephants exciting. Food was tasty. Fabulous lunches set up in the bush were superb and dinners under candelabra beautiful. Horses were well cared for. Wildlife spotting was unbelievable. So many elephants. Fantastic. I felt very well looked after in all aspects in the saddle and at the camp. Lovely vacation. Thanks.”

Merle Sardis, African Horseback Safaris, Botswana, June 2012

“I had a lovely time and the riding was incredible.  All the horses were great – very reliable and responsive and knew their job very well.  We saw a lot of wildlife; I don’t  think there was a single day we went out and didn’t see something exciting!  Likewise the staff were friendly and I was very well looked after.  I’d love to go back some time when I get the chance.  Thank you very much for helping me pull this trip together – I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable horseback safari.”

Elizabeth Lee, African Horseback Safaris Botswana, July 2013

“It was absolutely great thank you!! Limpopo Valley Horse Safaris is a really well run company with a great team/guides, their horses were as well looked after as the guests. The weather was nicely planned and the wild animals weren’t bad either!! Thanks for giving us a great time it was good VFM and the champagne and birthday cake were not forgotten!!”

Helen Brand, Limpopo Valley Horse Safaris, Botswana

“Had a wonderful time, everything ran smoothly and to plan, marvellous experience! Riding was fantastic – actually rode with a herd of zebra and wildebeest – at quite a fast pace! Everybody, without exception, were very helpful and welcoming- highly organised – marvellous food considering the facilities…..Each day seemed to get better. Abundant varied game – every day.”

David and Annabel Nabarro, Meerkat Saltpan ride, September 2013

“We all had the most wonderful trip to Botswana. In particular, David Foot in the salt-pans was the most wonderful guide and we had 5 incredible days with him. He was such fun, and I don’t know quite what he thought of 8 rather loud middle aged English people, but he put on a very good show! I would definitely be interested in going back there.”

Caroline Sykes, Meerkat Saltpan ride, September 2013

“We have had the most amazing holiday. Fairlawns was the most beautiful hotel with delightful and helpful staff. Our transfers were always on time and the whole Johannesburg bit was great. Okavango Horse Safaris was one of the best weeks we have ever had. It is a beautifully run operation, PJ, Barney and Sarah are very efficient, very nice and good fun. The horses are beautifully cared for and the general standards of food, rooms and cleanliness are very high. The staff are polite and friendly and very good at what they do. We really had a great time and saw lots of different animals as well as having a near-lion encounter! Such an exciting holiday and an added bonus was that we didn’t seem to ache too much after all the riding! Thanks so much for all you did, it is certainly a holiday we will remember for a long time.”

Mr and Mrs Hunter, Okavango Horse Safaris, October 2007

“Our trip to Okavango went very well, and everybody was very happy. P.J. was an excellent host and guide, and the horses were very good. The camps are well organized, with a variety of setting, and people were very friendly and efficient. The weather was perfect, warm but not too hot. We had several impressive encounters with elephants and a few with buffalos, and saw a lot of giraffes. My son even had to face an elephant in the camp on the path leading to his tent in the evening!”

Bertrand Collomb, Okavango Horse Safaris Botswana, April 2009

    David Nabarro, Brazil bespoke travel

“Brilliant – thank you. Everything ran like clockwork. Boat was good, brilliant hotels in Sao Paulo, Rio and Buzios. In Igazu the hotel was perfect for what was required to see the falls; it really was easy, comfortable and good food. I don’t think that I would have changed anything. Many thanks again.”

James Buckle, Brazil bespoke travel, October 2014

Sue Ruddock, Ecuador bespoke travel, October 2011

“Our boat was comfortable and clean, the crew exceptional, especially the cook who produced delicious and varied food every day. We had a very special guide in Karina – most enthusiastic and with an encyclopaedic knowledge; she really put the icing on the cake. Everyone managed to make us feel important and we never felt we were surrounded by other groups, the islands and what we saw on them was quite fascinating, and the snorkelling was sensational”

Christopher Marriott, Ecuador bespoke travel, October 2011

“The Haciendas were varied and comfortable. The horses were by and large suitable. Spectacular scenery the last few days. The Amazon basin was a treat. NAPO was a great place to stay. The contrast between the rain forest and the mountains, only half an hour apart by plane, is striking. Glad we got to do both.”

Clipper La Motte, Ecuador bespoke travel, March 2014

“The holiday in Ecuador was a huge success – riding with Sally was magic – she was so efficient and arranged everything quite beautifully and she was so well informed on everything from the wildlife to the culture history etc. she made it a fascinating trip. Sue Ruddock, Colonial Hacienda ride Ecuador, October 2011

“Our holiday exceeded all our expectations. All the arrangements worked perfectly and we all had a simply wonderful time. Sally is a star; and runs a superb operation. Her horses are excellent, all with character but also well mannered and a far cry from your average trekking prod. It really was refreshing to see how much she cares for her horses and we couldn’t have been looked after better – the picnic lunches were seriously good. The scenery was stunning, especially in the Cotopaxi National Park – riding at 4000m in the company of wild horses with a snow covered volcano as a backdrop is just a bit special”

Christopher Marriott, Colonial Hacienda ride, Ecuador, October 2011

    Ethiopia

We had a truly fabulous time. The itinerary for the trip was incredibly well thought out. The ride was spectacular, and the tour we did after the ride gave us a real insight into the culture of the beautiful country we were lucky enough to be traveling in.

Ettie Boyd, Bale Mountains Ride, Ethiopia February 2016

Thank you for arranging a great trip to an amazing country .The riding and camping were superb with a very knowledgeable, interesting and personable guide, as were the backup team. The Bali lodge was wonderful as was the walk up the peak and watching honey collecting (not to mention eating it!). The drivers for the week were excellent, particularly Alex who I spent the most time with. Gondar and Lalibela were the right amount of time and we had good guides in both places as we did for our sightseeing in Addis.

Rose Wigan, Bale Mountains ride, Ethiopia February 2016

We had a really great time in Ethiopia thank you and have come away with so many good memories of the ride, the other places we saw, and the immense kindness and generosity of spirit of the people. I think the mixture the holiday provided of activity/culture/wild life was incredible.

Tessa Smallwood, Bale Mountains Ride, Ethiopia, February 2016

The trip was a great success, and on many levels. The itinerary was extremely good. We were always met as indicated exactly on time. Guide was delightful, efficient and always making things work for the guests. Ride Guides were superb, bright, educated, hugely knowledgeable. Camping sites, conditions and food excellent. The Bale is so diverse, the Sanetti Plateau unique, it was so rich, so varied and so special.

Victoria Sears, Bale Mountains ride, Ethiopia May 2015

We had a wonderful time, varied scenery, great tents, fantastic guides, beautiful campsites and an excellent cook.

Sarah Chenevix-Trench, Bale Mountains ride, Ethiopia May 2015

It was beyond all expectations and so safe! Quite beautiful and we very much hope it stays like that so we could go again. Thank you so much.

Christopher and Marion Houghton, Bale Mts ride, Ethiopia May 2015

Bale Mountain Lodge  Lovely. Great place, great birds, excellent guide. Gonder – our guide was amazing. Hotel good. Excellent time. Tukul Hotel great fun and excellent. The Christian Festival was fantastic! Very lucky to be there for Mary’s Birthday!! Capitol Hotel good for purpose and well located, and The Mandolin was really good. Loved the people and the country.

“I had a fantastic time, I would not have missed it for the world and was over the moon with my two fish of 25lb and 30lb!”

Paul Becher, Mahseer fishing India, November 2010

“We had a great time and the Dunlod riding crew were wonderful, especially Sorpil, our Sikh ride leader who was the fount of excellent stories around the campfire and bar. The approach to Danta was fab, through hills and dried up river gullies; real Indiana Jones stuff.  I would recommend the riding experience to anyone and we’re looking forward to our next horse adventure as we’re both totally hooked.”

Aidan and Helen Ruff, Riding in Rajasthan, November 2015

“We had the most fabulous time. Bonny is such a character – very colourful and caused huge entertainment as well as being an excellent host. All in all a truly memorable holiday, with delightful people all along the way”.

    Celia Djivanovic, Riding in Rajasthan

“The Indian ride was wonderful, great horses and we were beautifully looked after. The camel fair surpassed all expectations.”

    Catriona Guinness, Riding in Rajasthan

“Bonnie took us to some  amazing places, including the war lord near the Pakistan border, who guarded us with swords and welcomed us with drums and gun shots. He bought some horses at the fair adding another dimension to the most wonderful experience.”

    Mrs Helme, Riding in Rajasthan

“It was a grand trip and a cultural education of epic proportions. Many thanks for a wonderful trip into yet, another wild and exotic place.”

    Andy Lorig, Riding in Rajasthan

“For us, as it was for most of the team, it was a great trip and I was very impressed at how kind and sympathetic Bonnie and his team were to the horses”

Rodney Style, Riding in Rajasthan, November 2011

“We loved the luxury of the big hotels but slightly looked down on them after staying in the forts etc, but I think you got the balance just right!  It was brilliant. The organisational side of it was a triumph, with excellent guides everywhere and not a single hiccup. I think it was a huge success.”

Annie-Lou Balme, Riding in Rajasthan, November 2011

“We did have the most fantastic holiday – I was quite overwhelmed by India and am keen to go back to see some more”

Mrs Sykes, Riding in Rajasthan, November 2011

Tessa Homfrey, Riding in Rajasthan, November 2011

“Thank you for organising a GREAT tour in India. The horses were extremely well cared for and Bonnie and his team were a delight to be around. Their catering and their standard of organisation was second to none. We look forward to using your company for any future tours..Thank you for your very professional help…we will have no hesitation in recommending your services to others.”

Janet King and Nigel McNeill, Riding in Rajasthan, December 2012

“We had a great trip to India, as a family we have been unable to find fault with anything, your teams over there were with out fail brilliant. A truly memorable experience.”

    James Buckle, India bespoke travel

“Wonderful time. Fantastic country. Lovely people. Horses were great. Bonnie and his team were so organised and just couldn’t do enough for us. We really liked Dundlod and the camping and Pushkar fair and there’s no better way to see a country than the back of a horse. Definitely do one of these holidays again.”

“The trip was incredibly well organised – from the driver still holding our name card at 2 am when our flight was delayed to the perfect timekeeping throughout. Our English escort always thought the details through – from cheaper lunch to what we might need. Our forward going but sensible horses were fun and easy to ride, and Atollah – our Wadi Rum guide – matched them accurately to our riding abilities. Watching the camel race, Wadi Rum-style, from the window of a 4×4 driven alongside the galloping camels was a thrilling experience. In addition, the hotels (except for the reasonable 3*in Madaba) were much better than expected for the price, rounded off with a swanky posh 5* in Amman.”

Jane Kotchkina & Sasha Goryunov, Riding in Jordan

“All transfers were excellent. Always met on time, early rather than late and very helpful. Our Head Guide, Suleiman, was delightful. He gave us plenty of fun, but the horses are valuable to them and he did not ever do anything daft, or patently unsafe for horses or jockeys. The other Bedu guides, horsemen etc were all great without exception. The food, cooked by Hussein, was really excellent. Always hot, tasty, freshly prepared and plenty of lovely fresh salad and fruit as well as hot meat dishes. Horses extremely well looked after, fit, tough and right for the job. Match horse to jockey well. Hotel in Petra Palace Ambra lovely. Petra awesome. I adored the trip Thanks for everything.”

“Flocks of sand grouse appear out of the desert like swarms of bees – they make extremely sporting shooting and are delicious to eat, particularly for breakfast.” Wild and Exotic in Country Life Magazine

Rupert Uloth, Bird shooting in Kenya

We knew we were in the right place the moment we walked out of the plane and ventured off into the bush.  We saw lions after twenty minutes!  The children loved the experience. Fergus wrote in his notebook every species that he saw which numbered over 250.  The camp was perfect and the staff simply brilliant until the football match when they turned competitive!  We had a wonderful, wonderful time and will recommend to all friends should they be heading in that direction.

Jock Maxwell MacDonald, Kenya bespoke travel, August 2017

I wish I could put to you as eloquently, how restorative and thoroughly stimulating our Kenyan holiday was. What an incredibly impressive young management team in Jesse, Chania and Kim at Outback Mara. How much we all adored our guide David and spotter, Kappen. I felt very emotional leaving them all. At Kizingo Louis and Mary-Jo provided unbridled enthusiasm for body boarding and entertained us morning, noon and night. I could go on.. this comes with huge thanks for more than fulfilling the brief: wild, totally immersive, a modicum of comfort but no bling. All thanks and good wishes.

Emma Maxwell MacDonald, Kenya bespoke travel, August 2017

“We had the most incredible time. A perfect mixture of action and ‘nothing’: swimming, fishing, snorkelling, walking up 8 miles of deserted white beach, lazing in hammocks, feasting on delicious food. The high light was definitely going in a small private group to swim with the dolphins in the Indian Ocean. It was absolutely breath-taking.   Mary Jo and Louis are the most relaxed and warmest of hosts. A perfect holiday!”

    Rachel, Kizingo, March 2015

“Kizingo was an idyllic and private retreat beside the Indian Ocean; Sosian a wildlife haven in the north.”

‘I can’t say enough good about Tristan and his “gang”.  Such good horses, company and we were treated like royalty.  I really appreciated his laid back attitude so we didn’t have to feel like children in boarding school.  Accompanied, of course by his years of experience reading the animals.  Please feel free to use me for a recommendation in the future.  Thanks again for your help putting this trip together’

    Ellen Jackson, Offbeat Safaris, 2016

“We had a great time, though the riding safari was really beyond our already high expectations! Tristan, Isi and Simon were really wonderful, they were up to every detail that could make us feel even better.”

Amelia Miller, Offbeat Safaris, September 2015

“The logistics & planning left no stone unturned and the trip was simply epic, indeed having been home for ten days we are still slightly shell shocked as to what huge fun we had. On the edge at times, at times a little beyond it – so just the ticket for the bolder participant.”

Alex and Sarah Guthe, Offbeat riding safaris, June 2015

“Thank you for organising such a fantastic holiday. We had been hoping for a great experience and this was delivered in spades!! – fun, thrills (!) and great company. A big  ‘Thank you’ to Tristan and his team for looking after us all so well – this really was a truly memorable experience of a lifetime.”

Jeremy and Sarah Billinge, Offbeat riding safaris, 2015

“It was a magnificent holiday and one which has had a profound effect on me. I had some idea of what it would be like from Ralph and from seeing photos of previous safaris, but it never really tells you what it is like. We loved our weekend at Deloraine and the safari was wonderfully organised.”

Mrs Edwards, Offbeat riding safaris, Kenya

“The trip was fabulous. Tristan is a wonderful, safe guide. I have told my friends about it all and hope some of them can join at a future date. Thank you so much for helping me with all the details.”

Anne Ballard, Offbeat riding safaris, Kenya

Lavinia Taylor, Offbeat riding safaris, Kenya

Tristan was great and all the children had a wonderful time and we loved the camps, especially Meru camp, which was very beautiful and completely unspoilt and we swam in rivers and fished a bit as well as going on game drives. Thank you for arranging everything.”

Louise Guinness, Offbeat riding safaris, Kenya

Sosian was great and offered a variety of activities. The kitchen and stable staff were amazing and we met some lovely co-guests during our stay. It was a last minute decision to visit, so thank you for arranging at such short notice. It was a lovely holiday and we felt well rested when we left, albeit with sore legs from riding!

Kenya bespoke travel, Karen Lee, January 2017

“We all fell in love with Sosian, Steve and Annabelle were amazing and we enjoyed meeting Tristan & his charming wife. Riding horses & camels, mud fishing, rod fishing, rock pool diving, tracking (wild dogs), foot tracking (lions), and camping out on the plains with a small half boma of two cars and a fire….just a big boys playground! Fundu was great too with Water Skiing and Scuba Diving high on the agenda after the first day completely chilling out. Adrian, thank you for organising everything so professionally for us, it was a holiday of a life time.”

Edward Duke, Kenya bespoke travel, June 2008

Sosian and Clouds were excellent and we were treated with great warmth and hospitality.  Simon and Rosie work very long hours and make the experience very personalized and memorable.  They were exceptionally generous with their time with us. We greatly appreciate all of your help and wish to thank you for an excellent job.”

Elizabeth Stock, Kenya bespoke travel, August 2014

Yet again another perfect trip, thank you! Two very different experiences. Both equally good. Riding at Sosian was perfect for what we wanted, they even got us on camels. Ayesha at Sosian and Jennifer at Offbeat Mara were both fantastic hosts.

James Buckle, Kenya bespoke travel July 2019

“We had a wonderful time and all your arrangement worked very well. The Offbeat Mara was brilliant. We really liked the naturalness of the Camp, while  having everything that was needed. The staff were really friendly and good. The Guides were really excellent. We did see one incident that they had never seen before, so that was thrilling. The wild life in the Conservancy was terrific, every day we saw something spectacular”

Gilly Bourne-Arton, Kenya bespoke travel, July 2018

Adrian, we had a truly incredible time.  Offbeat Mara exceeded anything we could reasonably have hoped for.  Day after day – drive after drive it just got better and better, I doubt they can ever have had a team who got luckier than us to see so much.
Back to the grind stone and flat out this week but will be in touch for a debrief next week.
    Thanks for everything.

    Mr Avent, Kenya bespoke travel

“Our holiday in Kenya was just magnificent and all the arrangements were immaculate – there was somebody to meet us off every plane and Loisaba and Manda Bay were perfect – both superbly run and yet completely different. Before we left, Linda and I both thought the holiday was pretty damn expensive – yet once we were there we both remarked on several occasions that we were getting our money’s worth in every regard. Mongolia

“The Delger-Muron River Valley is absolutely stunning – a wide river alternating between rapids and deep pools, a wildflower laced valley floor and big high cliffs like bookmarks on either side.  It’s one of the nicest places I’ve seen in Mongolia and there wasn’t a village for miles in any direction.  We had the entire river to ourselves.”

Nathan Ward, Fly fishing in Mongolia, 2008

“The day was far from ordinary. It started off with a bang when I landed two taimen before 11 o’clock. The first was a baby and the second was a beauty. Unlike the violence involved when a taimen takes a surface fly, when you hook a big one  on a streamer it feels more like you’ve snagged a wheelbarrow full of bricks. It’s easy to initially mistake it for a snag. Next, you feel the massive head shakes in an attempt to loose the fly. Then all hell breaks loose.”

Dan T Cook, Fly fishing in Mongolia, June 2007

“This was my third trip to Mongolia: the scenery was spectacular, with fall colors showing in the larch forests lining the rocky hills along the way; and the fishing was the best ever. In a word, it was exceptional. Our group caught countless lenok, numerous grayling, and 23 taimen up to 55 inches in length. The biggest taimen were caught in white water rapids where the water temperature was cooler and oxygen levels higher than the surrounding water; and the gurgler was again by far and away the winning fly pattern. Five to six-inch long streamers imitating lenok also produced well, but gurglers caught everything from big taimen to average-sized (20 to 24-inch) lenok and even feisty grayling.”

    Tom, Fly fishing in Mongolia

“I had a fantastic trip to Mongolia and would like to go back with Andy and his team.”

“Great trip in fantastic scenery, one of my very best rivers ~ fishing ever. Good organisation and great experience all over “

Ueli Zellweger, Fly fishing, Mongolia, September 2011

“What a truly fantastic adventure we all had with you in Mongolia.  It really was the best of fun with so many laughs. Everything was organized quite brilliantly (where possible!!) and you looked after us all so well – part of the fun being that we didn’t have to stick rigidly to the itinerary.”

    Penny Lindsay-Flynn, Mongolian riding safaris

“Bottom line is that the trip was all and more than we could have anticipated. Wild and Exotic is now three for three, and we need Adrian to employ his skill and imagination to come up with a fourth. You should insist that Tumee be the guide for all of your clients. We would have brought her home with us if we could have. Thank you for your patience in getting us pulled together for this trip.”

“We all had a fabulous time!”

Betty Biszantz, Mongolian riding safaris, July 2010

“We had an amazing trip in Mongolia. Tumee our fearless leader was outstanding and has a true passion for her country and shares it with all. The cook did a great job and all the horse boys were good as well. Overall they were fantastic as a group and I wouldn’t change a thing. The campsites were perfect since they were always on a lake or running river. It was an AMAZING trip. thank you for sharing… now we need to plan for a new adventure :)”

“What a most extraordinary and fantastic place Nyati Beach Lodge is. It is a fisherman’s paradise. We caught King Mackeral to about 40lbs, Kingfish to 20lbs, Yellow fin Tuna to about 30lbs, Grunter to about 6lbs, Bonefish and numerous other species, plus a 350lb Bull Shark. If you are not a fisherman you can walk on deserted beaches, use a quad bike on 60 klms of beach and not see a soul!! The cuisine at Nyati is the best we have had anywhere in Africa. Crayfish, Tiger Prawns and plenty of fabulous fresh sea fish, many of which we caught ourselves. Superb fresh fruit and other sumptuous dishes.Overall 10 star. Cant wait to go again.”

    Namibia

“Namibia was a great success and thank you for organising our trip, it was very good. The lodges were all well equipped and comfortable and the riding was brilliant.  For me Rhino Palmwag Camp was the best  although Skelton Caoast Camp was very remote and probably the best landscape.”

    William Taylor, Namibia bespoke travel

I am safely back and thoroughly enjoyed my Namibian experience. The riding was awesome and so interesting. I have never been on a riding holiday before so I have nothing to compare it to and I knew that we were not going to see many animals but we saw enough and lions close by one day! The food was excellent and always produced with a smile. Andrew was a top class and very knowledgeable guide with a great wit! I absolutely loved it and for me it was an experience of a lifetime.

Jane Sloan, Namibia riding safari, June 2017

“It’s an outstanding team you have found over there in every aspect.  Patience, courtesy, nothing was too much for Andrew, his love of his horses, the fun he gave us all, staggering beauty of the desert with the rising sun and dazzling sunsets.  He also has the finest chef in Africa, Vincent, smiling all the time, even putting red hot coals under our chairs at night to warm our bottoms.  I cannot tell you how priceless he, and his set up is unique. Arrived home having loved every moment.  Many, many thanks,  Charlotte”

Charlotte Heber-Percy, Namibia riding safari, June 2016

“Thank you so much for all you did – it was an enormous success and the ride is spectacular.”

Marion Houghton, Namibia riding safari, June 2016

“ We had the most fantastic trip! The group agreed that the safari was extremely professionally run in all areas and at all times. The horses were the best produced, schooled and cared for of any that any of the group had ridden on rides in other parts of the world. Andrew is an exceptional horseman, as are those in his young team. Food in camp on safari was outstanding. Chef Vincent is a legend and we all adored him. The Hotel and dinner on the last night with sundowners also were in lovely places. The country is simply staggeringly beautiful and we were all blown away by it and the Namibian Horse Safari Company team!”

Victoria Sears, Namibia riding safari, June 2016
    North America

“Bitteroot Ranch was brilliant.  Lovely family and Mel is English and she went to Milfield School.  I was surprised to see  the food was more grand as I thought we will be eating typicial American food. The chef is English. They have a large vegetable and fruit garden and also  their own farm meats.  The ranch is basic and we have our own log cabin with bathroom.  It has plenty of hot water.  Horses are well behaved. (Arabs and Quarters)  They bred thier own and they must have about 200!!  Wranglers are very responsible and we rode 6 hours every day.  My daughter Tamara wants to go back there for the summer as a wrangler in 3 years time as most of them are British.  Only hard hats to be worn on rides.  We went to a rodeo and it was great fun.  Some men go fishing with Mel’s husband Bayard.  Plently of wine and beers in the evenings.  The weather had been great too.”

Cynthia Harrison, Bitterroot Ranch, Wyoming, USA
    Peru

“Eddy, Maria and all of their staff were extremely friendly. The horses were fantastic! We really enjoyed riding the Peruvian Pasos…and being gated they had the added benefit that throughout the five days of riding not one of us had any sign of soreness. The route offered a mixture of towns, countryside, and high planes and you really felt as if you were getting off the beaten path and seeing a more authentic view of rural Peruvian life. The side-trip to Machu Pichu was absolutely great.”

“I cannot recommend a trip to fish the Rynda highly enough. It is challenging fishing in a pristine environment that is simply a privilege to experience. “Our 7 days in Ant’s Hill was the most memorable holiday ever..and we have been fortunate enough to go to some lovely places in our lives. The setting is magical, the food delicious and the staff make you feel special. Every day is organised for you as an individual with no pressure, just as YOU want it. The horses are well trained and in great condition and viewing the wildlife on horseback is breathtaking. The staff are dedicated to making your stay as perfect as possible. Sundowners and lunch in the bush are unforgettable experiences and when we had one cold evening, the roaring fires were as enjoyable as the sunshine! The organisation and information from Wild & Exotic was faultless and everything went like clockwork. THANK YOU TO ALL!”

Sally Stubbs, Ant's Hill, South Africa, April 2011

Philip brought us so close to the animals, and we were just a few feet from the Big 5.  I learned a lot about mounted body language while being right in front of animals. The saddles were the most comfortable trail saddles I have ever used.

Maria Aguila, Wait a Little safari, July 2017

“I had a wonderful time; the Fairlawns Hotel was a marvellous start, and a good day in which to relax and get used to being on holiday. Transferred to Wait a Little, met by Philip at the airport, and rode that afternoon. Horses excellent, wildlife varied and fascinating (amazing how close we could get to some of them), riding fun if a bit fast and furious at times!  Thought the “two centre” idea worked well, Makalali was a lovely but different environment and all of us enjoyed the night en route at the fly camp.  At Wait a Little, Gerti’s food was excellent and plentiful (better I think than at Makalali), and all worked very hard to ensure we had a good time. No serious “incidents”, although we did get a bit close to a nervous bull elephant at one point… loved galloping alongside the giraffe and zebra. Lots of good memories. Then a few days in Cape Town, sunbathing, visiting the wine region and going down to the Cape of Good Hope…So – would I recommend Wait a Little? – yes, unreservedly, but I would make sure clients understood that you needed a reasonably good level of competence and fitness to cope with the riding – Philip either walks or gallops, not much in between, and he’ll gallop for miles…. not for the faint hearted or unfit! Thanks for all your help.” Miss Sharpe South Africa (Wait a Little Safaris)

    Jim Stephens, Partridge shooting, Spain

Our trip with Wild and Exotic led by Maria Elena was absolutely wonderful.  The ride through the old Canadas and villages was lovely, and each stop was catered in grand style.  I was very well mounted and appreciated the well-trained horses. And we all loved learning a little history and staying in some lovely hotels.  But the best part of the tour is really Maria Elena. We immediately connected with her like she was an old friend. I know some of our group have ridden all over the world with Wild and Exotic, but this trip stands out as the holiday of a lifetime.  So thank you, Adrian, for organizing such an excellent trip for us .

Betsy DeMarino, Spain riding holidays, April 2019

“The ride went excellently. Maria Elena is terrific. Her horses outstanding; I love her agenda with the varied scenery and paradores. She is also intuitive about matching riders and horses. Enrique was also wonderful. Maria Elena also scheduled additional guides and activities for us. She is amazing. One of the top weeks of my life.”

“Maria Elena puts on a fabulous ride, she is a wonderful person. We have done a few of these rides now, so we have a point of reference. Thank you for consistently arranging great trips for us.”

Wilson King, Spain riding holidays, July 2018

It was a fabulous trip definitely one of my favourites. Rudy is an excellent guide and his horses were fabulous and extremely well cared for. The accommodations were all wonderful and we were able to meet all of the owners who provided history and culture. The food was so fresh and delicious and not too much. Rudy also provided several cultural experiences which i loved having incorporated with the ride. hands down an excellent trip with Rudy. Loved every minute.  NB THIS FEEDBACK RELATES TO OUR NEW 2017 TRANS PYRENEES RIDE

Boo Hardy, Riding in Spain, June 2017

“We all had a GREAT week and the ride exceeded expectations. Equiberia are a v well organised team. Emilio and Maria Elena were delightful and fun and efficient, knowledgeable with high standards.  Their attention to detail was great…luggage always in right place quickly..delicious apperitivos and wonderful lunches all waiting for us at various points during the day….mostly good local cooked food. They made a superb job of ‘assessing’ us vis-a-vis making sure we all rode horses best suited to individuals – I loved mine so much I wanted to bring her home! They were sure-footed with calm temperaments but certainly not dull. Thanks for all your help in arranging such a fun holiday.”

Cilla Crossley, Riding in Spain, June 2009

“We had a wonderful holiday – thoroughly to be recommended.Maria Elena couldn’t have been more attentive, helpful and charming and produced the most scrumptious food and wine. The horses were beautifully looked after, fit, and the tack in excellent condition. Much enjoyed seeing the Sierra Gredos region of Spain which was so wild and uninhabited and quite awe inspiring.  So well done and thanks for organising it.”

Liz Hibbert-Foy, Riding in Spain, June 2009

“We had the most wonderful holiday in Gredos ever, just divine.  The whole set up is fantastically professional, Maria Elena is a real perfectionist and nothing was too much trouble. Emilio and Carmen were brilliant too. The horses were well chosen, well trained/schooled, beautifully looked after with the most supple tack. The route was so well planned and worked like clockwork, with the white van turning up with the tapas at 12 or so, then the two hour lunch, and eventually riding into most of the hotels which was such fun.  All the hotels were excellent and the owners/staff extremely helpful and friendly. I was amazed at the attention to detail in the set up, we were part of an extremely well oiled and efficient outfit such as I have never experienced before. Many thanks for organising it all so well, and also not putting the price up, I imagine you must have taken a bit of a hit with the euro.”

Gentian Jones Davies, Riding in Spain, June 2009

“I had a LOVELY time! Thank you so much for all your help — I couldn’t have done it without you. The horses were spectacular, Maria was a lovely and brilliantly organised host who could talk about pretty much anything at the dinner table. Totally stunning landscapes that were never the same and gave one a comprehensive impression of this wonderful area, Avila was also awesome.”

Natalya Fenston, Riding in Spain, August 2010

“Nick and I thought the trip was a huge success and extremely well organized with lovely places to stay which were also quite varied. Maria Elena was a star and we were all very impressed with the amount of effort she put into it all not only with the ponies but the wonderful picnics and just generally being a fun person to spend 6 days with. The journey was interesting and fun with all sorts of different terrain and landscape.”

Helen Connors, Riding in Spain, June 2011

“The trip was fantastic and I thought Maria Elena, Ana and Dara made up a brilliant team. What I loved about them was that they produced everything with absolutely no fuss and were totally professional but with a wonderful sense of fun too. To produce excellent horses as well as picnics, apperitivos etc. really takes some organising and it all went like clockwork. They all work so hard.”

“I think “stunning success” would not be an overstatement in describing our trip.  Maysie and I totally agree that this was the best vacation we have ever taken.  You did a superb job assembling the trip and complex itinerary. We have nothing but the highest praise for your recommendations and detail work and are most grateful for all you did.  We loved the four lodges where we stayed and would have no hesitation in recommending them to other travellers.”

    Rebecca Bell, Tanzania bespoke travel

“What an absolutely beautiful, perfect and truly exciting trip you and your Wild crew put together for us. Every single detail melded seamlessly into the next meaning that we, the clients, had not one moment of anxiety ever!  You may not be aware of this but we were always “assigned” the ultimate best accommodation in each camp! I think it’s your good reputation that precedes you. Thank-you so much for creating such a wonderful trip for us—our best ever. I’ve “gone-on” enough. Thank-you, Adrian, for all your efficient, hard work.”

“Everything exceeded our expectations. Ras Kutani was great and we were really well looked after.  Sand Rivers is superbly located and we had a couple of mornings out on the river bank which was a great location for breakfast. The snorkelling at Kinasi was fantastic, with were coral gardens and an amazing variety of beautiful coloured fish.  Mafia is a very remote but it all worked perfectly. The meet and greet service at the airport was fantastic. We can’t recommend it highly enough and the staff were charming everywhere. Thanks so much for organising such a wonderful holiday.”

Mr C Bourne-Arton, Uganda bespoke travel, September 2011

“We are safely back home.  The trip was wonderful and all of the arrangements you made for us worked perfectly.  I appreciated having the itinerary with details of both trips to help keep us on top of everything.  We also appreciated the added touch of booking the The Boma for a few hourse the day we left Entebbe.

Chris Rothwell, Riding and field sports in the UK

“Just a brief note to thank you yet again for an utterly fantastic weekend, the hotel was outstanding – excellent food, brilliant service and everything on time The birds just seem to get even better and the boys loved it for the fourth year running, making it an outstanding weekend, it really does just get better and better.”

Caroline Braid, Riding and field sports in UK

“Many thanks for organising a fantastic weekend.  The guns had a great time, and were very appreciative of everyone on the day, in particular Julian and Rosie, who both looked after us extremely well. The pub was perfect – very accommodating staff, very good food, with a wonderfully authentic pub décor inside (reminding us that we were nowhere near the blandness of so many of London’s gastro-pubs!).”

The trip was excellent and we were looked after wonderfully well at Chongwe.  The camp had made improvements despite its existing standards being very high.  We were also well looked after by the meet and greet team at Lusaka.

“Trip went very well… Great group and Kasaka Lodge was a dream”

Marina Gibson, Tiger fishing on the Zambezi, October 2016

“All in all a terrific trip. The accommodations were excellent, the food excellent, and the service excellent. You would be hard pressed to find a better staff anywhere”

Lee Fensterstock, Tiger fishing on the Zambezi, October 2016

“I have never felt so well looked after by genuine people whose only concern was to ensure we were comfortable and happy. I do not think anything could have prepared me for the wonders that unfolded – to have wild elephants chewing trees no more than 2ft from your head at night was an unbelievable experiences! Every single dish we were served was delicious. The accommodation was well thought out and authentic. It really was the BEST HOLIDAY EVER! Thank you so much for all your help and effortless organisation.”

Jane Sudders, Tiger fishing on the Zambezi, October 2016

“One of the best experiences of my life so far. Fantastic trip. The whole trip was seamlessly organised, with great staff and accommodation at the camp. All in all, just brilliant.”

Lee Short, Tiger fishing on the Zambezi, October 2016

“Hello and thank you , I really did have the time of my life in Zambia and I didn’t want to come home , the fishing was amazing I had tigers ranging from a couple of pound up to 13 pound and a Vundu catfish of 30 pounds , and the game viewing was amazing at Mwambashi as well. Food at both camps was fantastic as were the hosts and the guides.”

Mr Craige, Tiger fishing on the Zambezi River, Zambia

“I am glad to say that the holiday was a total success.  All connections/pick-ups were like clockwork.  The lodge at Chongwe was excellent; we were extremely well looked after.  Game viewing was very good with knowledgable guides.  The fishing was fun although, as we knew, it was earlier than the prime fishing season. We thought your and Emma’s organisation of the trip was first class. My 81 year old father had a great time and cant wait to go back!”

“We had the most fantastic time both at Vintage African Safaris and at Mwambashi River Lodge. Seeing 4 Leopards, 3 large male Lions, numerous other game, catching about 40 tigerfish up to 12 pounds and 2 vundu up to 60lbs all in about 6 days says it all. The area around Mwambashi seems to be  most idyllic for  all animals, plainsgame and predators alike. I have been on numerous safaris over the years and for pure game viewing this will take some beating.”

Hugh Hellyer, Tiger fishing on the Zambezi, Zambia

“Even now, a couple of days after my return I am looking towards a September departure back to Zambia. To a man every member of staff at Chongwe were superb, I loved the reserve and want to catch a bigger Tiger Fish.”

Mr Bolton, Tiger fishing on the Zambezi, Zambia, May 2008

“We had a simply fabulous time at Kasaka, thank you – our flight connections and all the arrangements you made ran like clockwork. The lodge furnishings and facilities were of a high standard and the tents are clean, spacious and well furnished. The fishing was good and the staff were efficient, attentive and genuinely friendly. The only adequate description for the food is superb – I have never enjoyed such quality anywhere else in Africa. Pease feel free to quote me in your promotions and accept my sincere thanks again.”

Rachel Jenkins, Tiger fishing on the Zambezi, Zambia, September 2012

“Back safe and sound from Zambia at the end of a fantastic holiday. Lodge brilliantly run by Yvonne and Mwaka and the guides. All the Lodge “activities” were well organised. I think that between us we did them all including a fantastic 14 hour safari deep into the National Park which involved having to change a tyre in front of 400 Buffalo (Guides estimate) and getting stuck in a dry river bed only to discover that a Pride of 8 lions were sleeping in the shade just a few yards from us! The fishing was good. We should have got more into the boat but we quickly learned about the difficulties of setting hooks in bony mouths. Between us I think we caught 10 tigers, the best fell to Peter Fraser, 12lb . My best was 10lb. Great sport!”
